Pertanggungjawaban Pidana terhadap Pengeroyokan Perangkat Wasit dalam Pertandingan Sepak Bola Liga Amatir di Indonesia

This study discusses the legal issue of assaults on referees that frequently occur in amateur league football matches in Indonesia. Although the world of sport has an autonomous legal system known as Lex Sportiva through the PSSI Disciplinary Code, assaults remain a violation of national criminal law, specifically Article 262 of the Indonesian Criminal Code. This study aims to analyze the relationship between national criminal law and Lex Sportiva in handling cases of assaults on referees and to identify the forms of criminal liability that can be imposed on the perpetrators. The research method used is doctrinal legal research with a statutory and conceptual approach. The analysis was conducted on various regulations related to criminal law and sports law as well as the doctrines of relevant experts. The results of the study indicate that Lex Sportiva is not included in the hierarchy of laws and regulations in Indonesia so it cannot override the state's authority to enforce criminal law. Criminal liability for perpetrators of assaults on referees can be applied if the actions carried out fulfill the elements of a criminal act. Therefore, harmonization between Lex Sportiva and national criminal law is necessary to guarantee legal protection for referees, maintain public order, and support the integrity of football matches.
