Rasuti otpor Krležina zelenog kadra

From the magnitude of Krleža’s texts on the First World War, this paper focuses on the theme and representations of the green cadres. After a short review of the oeuvre examined, analysis focuses on the collection Croatian God Mars. It considers how the Home Guard regiment is represented, and the ways in which the text manifests its political nature are read through aspects of the bodily, as well as the chaotic and predominantly unconscious revolt. Furthermore, attempts to ideologically overcome the chaotic social reality are presen­ted, which are undertaken by both members of the Home Guard and intellectuals in Krleža’s novellas and plays Galicija and Vučjak. Concrete acts of rebellion in the opus exami­ned are realised through illegal, excessive acts that deviate from the political order. Therefo­re, in conclusion, such acts are connected to Rancière’s concept of democracy, just as the political nature of Krleža’s writing can be seen in the intervention in the hierarchies of rela­tionships and in changing the way one acts, speaks and exists.
