Lozenge Circumscribed Stonehenge

The structure of Stonehenge is revealed by matching its site plan with three Bronze Age gold artifacts–Bush and Clandon Barrow lozenges and Upton Lovell button local to Stonehenge. These lozenges utilize a nested square pattern to encode solar solstice alignments specific to the latitude on which they were found; and Stonehenge collaborates with them to form a compass-protractor model, in which Stonehenge is the compass to establish cardinal directions and the lozenges are the protractor to refine angle measurement and to communicate between sites. The applicability of the proposed pattern and model is strengthened by examining Woodhenge and all major types of noncircular Megalithic rings in Britain. As an unexpected consequence, scales of 1:1000, 1:300, and 1:100 between Stonehenge and lozenges emerge, which in turn suggest a base unit of length equals to or at least closely related to the long (short) axis of the Clandon (Bush) Barrow lozenges. Thus, the lozenges could have been both protractors and rulers, served for both design and operation of Stonehenge.
