During March–May 2022, a trial excavation was conducted in the northern part of the village of Hammam in southern Ginosar Valley (Wadi al-Hammam; Permit No. A-9248; map ref. 24607–13/74850–65), prior to the expansion of the village. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Ministry of Housing, was directed by B. Tsin (field photography), with the assistance of K. Hako (Area A supervision), A. Efron (Area B supervision and field photography), D. Griswold and R. Hazan (Area C supervision), Y. Ya‘akobi (administration), T. Moav, A. Gelbet, A. Besharat and O.
