In December 2006 and May 2007, two excavation seasons were conducted at the site of Nahal Shalva (Permit No. A-4968, A-5129; map ref. 179160-235/609560-615; Fig. 1), prior to construction. The excavations, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Terrace Investments Company, Ltd., were directed by Y. Israel (surveying, drafting and field photography), and E. Aladjem, with the assistance of H. Lavi, Y. Lender and Y. Al-'Amor (administration), S. Gal (computing), D. Varga (coordination), Sky View Company (aerial photography), R. Gat (pottery restoration), I. Dudin and I. Lidski-Reznikov (pottery drawing), M. Smilansky (stone and flint tool drawing), R. Vinitsky (treatment of the copper standard), C. Amit (studio photography) and N. Zak (plans).
