Reimagining Europe: Discussing Rus’ in a Wider Context

Reimagining Europe has generated a great deal of discussion among historians for its portrayal of the medieval kingdom of Rus' as part of the larger medieval European world. In this article, the author, Christian Raffensperger, responds to some of that discussion as a way to contextualize Reimagining Europe in the scholarship as a whole, as well as in regard to the particular comments offered as a part of this forum.
