FIGURE. Kui Xing Standing man with a peach in his right hand (symbol of a long life). Yellow-brown skin color, smiling face, high forehead, ears with extended snibs (signs of wisdom). Dressed k. Lotus leaf cap in dark green with two on the shoulders descending bands, foot-side cladding with patterns of jui-shaped cloud ornaments. Sockel in the form of a broken cut in black brown. The figure hollow.
Purchased 1907 by Wilhelmina von Hallwyl at the master dealer J. Bossard from August Edward Jessup (1861-1925) collection.
