Coffin

The coffin is repainted in the 1940s by Johan Fredrik Brandt, born May 8, 1879 in Kungsholm parish, Stockholm, died in Boglös village, Uppland in 1958. Johan F Brandt was active as an artist and professional painter in Enköpingstrakt, especially in Trögden. He also resided and worked in Äppelbo in Dalarna for a shorter period (1912-1913). He signed his boards John Brandt. Lydinge Farm: Property Designation: Lydinge 2: 2. Area: A total of 89 ha, 18 ha of arable land. The farm is moved out of a parcel. In the tract, the farm is a “shy middle yard.” There are several farms over 100 ha. The mansion building was renovated in the 1940s and probably it was in connection with this renovation that John Brandt was hired to repaint some of the furniture, such as the purchased coffin UM19767. Alfhild and Einar Lindberg used Lydinge farm until they were 60 years old. The property has since been rented out. Purchased in July 1984 at auction after the farmers Alfhild and Einar Lindberg at Lydinge farm, Österunda parish, Uppland.
