The Ekeberg coffin with its reliefs at Ekeberg mansion (Ekeberg) on 29 July 1937. On the coffin are three pairs with a male and a female figure and two coats of arms. Here a close-up on the man figure on the far right of the coffin. According to a “seal” this is how Margareta Leijonhufvud (married in 1536 to Gustav Vasa) would have hidden in the coffin to avoid the king’s frieri, hiding there from shyness or having been locked in there by the parents waiting for the king etc. The coffin is in reality made in the early 16th century.
