In Siraiki literature, songs appear in various forms. The fundamental themes of Siraiki songs include separation and longing, regional identity, deep sorrow and passion, politics, and other local subjects. Due to their distinctive themes, linguistic richness, and vocabulary, Siraiki songs have established a unique position in world literature. The tradition of songwriting in Siraiki literature began much earlier in the form of oral songs. However, the formal publication of songs in book form in Siraiki literature started after the middle of the twentieth century. The evolutionary journey of Siraiki songs continues to this day.
