CORPOROTIVISM OF THE EARLY MEDIEVAL ETHNIC COMMUNITY

The article considers ethnic corporatism as an integrative characteristic of ethnic community based on the Greek and Roman and early medieval narrative tradition to be the subject of analysis. Attention is paid to three spheres of corporatism manifestation: social consciousness, actions/activities of the community, interpersonal relations within the community. For the first time the phenomenon of corporatism of early medieval ethnic community is interpreted as a constantly changing set of sensual and mental images that appear before a person in his inner experience and anticipating his practical activity. The article has a staged nature and reflects the general direction and some possible approaches to the study of specific characteristics and properties of early medieval communities.
