Anthropogenic Impact on Natural-Technogenic Ecosystems of the Batken Region

Under conditions of increasing anthropogenic pressure, the transformation of natural ecosystems into natural-technogenic ones is becoming particularly relevant, especially for vulnerable mountainous areas of Central Asia. The Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic represents a territory with a high degree of economic development, where natural landscapes actively interact with technogenic components, forming complex natural-technogenic ecosystems. To provide a comprehensive assessment of anthropogenic impact on the state of natural-technogenic ecosystems of the Batken region, as well as to identify the main factors of environmental degradation and determine directions for sustainable environmental management. The study employs methods of system analysis, geoecological mapping, and a comparative geographical approach, as well as field observation techniques and statistical data processing. The research is based on remote sensing data, environmental monitoring data, and official statistics on natural resource use. Research results: the natural-technogenic ecosystems of the Batken region are characterized by reduced stability, disruption of natural biogeochemical cycles, and deterioration of environmental conditions. Zones of environmental risk requiring priority environmental protection measures have been identified. The conducted study highlights the need for an integrated approach to managing natural-technogenic ecosystems of the Batken region in order to ensure environmental sustainability and preserve the natural potential of the territory.
