The fundamental problematic aspect in the work of Cracow and Warsaw writers focuses on literary topoi of power, a stone (holy mineral), parallel worlds (imaginary places), and the issue of imagination. Attention was paid to the issue of peregrination to the alternative land, and the examples are associated with the issue of crossing the border. During the translocation, the characters’ existence is affected by difficulties, suffering, dilemmas, and dualism; they become mature and enter adult life. The archetypical conception of a stone as a mineral refers to the sacrum, the center being the introduction to the superior order, is common for both writers. Presentation of the image of power has been recognized in various configurations, which allows an interpretation of the discussed topoi in the form of a symbol representing the aspect of difficult human experience. The power presented in a figurative way proves the necessity of humanizing existence.
