Numerous academic works have explored the intricate concepts of sovereignty and jurisdiction in relation to territory.However, customary international law recognises that a state's territory comprises land, airspace, and territorial seas, making the topic even more complex.This article investigatesthe significance of airspace in terms of a state's sovereignty, discussing the legal basis for a state's authority over its airspace to maintain economic and political control, peace, andstability.By examining international conventions, treaties, and cases, this study uses a juridical-normative methodology to comprehend the notion of airspace sovereignty in international law and identify whatconstitutes and instances of an infringementof a state's airspace sovereignty.Ultimately, this research aims to laythefoundations for insights into what matters for airspace sovereignty.The resolution highlights the significance of diplomacy and international cooperation in addressing issues related to the violation of territorial airspace.
