Avant-Propos/Foreword

The 2012 edition of Potentia: Journal of International and Public Affairs aims to bridge the supposed divide between theory and practice. We welcomed submissions that contained theoretical puzzles as well as those that spoke directly to substantive policy concerns on a wide range of issues, especially those that examined the relationship between academic research and ideas on one hand, and domestic and international policy on the other. L’édition 2012 de Potentia visent à combler le soi-disant fossé entre la théorie et la pratique. Nous avons sélectionné un éventail de contributions allant de cassetêtes théoriques aux multiples préoccupations de la sphère politique, tout en favorisant les questions touchant les relations entre la recherche universitaire et le monde des idées ainsi que les liens entre la politique domestique et internationale.
