Optimization of Spatial Layout of Community Elderly Care Facilities Based on POI Data in Fucheng District

View through CrossRef
AbstractCommunity elderly care facilities, as significant facilities for maintaining the health of the elderly and supplementing family care, are a vital component of the construction of urban elderly care service systems. Reasonable layout of elderly care facilities can improve the efficiency of elderly care resource utilization and is of great importance for accelerating high-quality progress of elderly care. Taking 7 administrative streets in Fucheng District of Mianyang City as the research area, through analyzing the current situation of community elderly care facilities, it is found that the overall number of elderly care facilities in Fucheng District is insufficient, and the distribution of high in the east and low in the periphery is uneven. Half of the residential areas and elderly people are not in the service area, and there are obvious loopholes in the coverage of community elderly care facilities in the study region. Combined with the actual residential points and spatial layout of functional facilities in the research area, the location allocation model was used to optimize the layout of community elderly care facilities, and finally 20 new community elderly care facilities are determined. The optimization results can meet the convenient travel of most elderly people, basically meet the requirements of the urban community “15-min elderly care service circle”, and finally construct the community elderly care service facility network, in order to achieve a balanced and efficient layout of community elderly care facilities in Fucheng District.
