Nighttime auroral precipitation features under extreme levels of geomagnetic activity

Исследованы характеристики ночных авроральных высыпаний и аврорального свечения в условиях экстремально низкой и экстремально высокой магнитосферной активности. Использовались данные спутников серии DMSP и алгоритмы расчета величины ионного давления и интегральной интенсивности свечения эмиссии (OI) 557.7 нм. Определены усредненные широтные профили ионного давления и интенсивности аврорального свечения в магнитоспокойные периоды и во время больших магнитных бурь. Представлено уравнение регрессии, связывающее исправленную геомагнитную широту экваториальной границы высыпаний с уровнем магнитной активности и уравнение регрессии, позволяющее оценить величину ионного давления на этой границе в зависимости от её широты. Уравнения могут быть использованы для периодов с очень высоким уровнем магнитной активности Dst>-600 нТл и AL>-2000 нТл
