В полевой археологии всегда существовал спрос на качественные пространственные данные, для получения которых использовались классические геодезические приборы. Современный этап развития технологий по сбору, обработке и анализу пространственных данных в области полевых археологических работ характеризуется внедрением беспилотных летательных аппаратов и фотограмметрических технологий. Проанализированы возможности наземной и воздушной фотосъемки для получения различных типов пространственных данных, потребность в которых изложена в разработанной для архео-логических исследований нормативной документации
