My vision for this project and how I imagine it to be interactive is with the help of Technology lead Dr. Khoi Nguyen, I Decided to have items three dimensional scanned that chronicle my military career and the duty Assignments. At the Age of 17, I found out that my girlfriend at the time who would eventually become my wife was pregnant with our first child. I decided to enlist into the Texas National Guard in the summer of 96 under the split option program, the first scanned item scanned which is a picture of me, my dad Juan NatalRoman who also served in the army with 23 years of service and my girlfriend/Wife Kristen and newly born daughter Viktoria covers that time in the 49th Armored Discom, Tx. National Guard. The first Item scanned first the wooden Wilkommen Sign covers my time in Germany where I deployed on a Peacekeeping mission to Kosovo, attend Special Forces Assessment and Selection. The second Item scanned covers my time at Ft. Hood, Tx which is the III Corps Phantom Warriors Coin where I deployed to Iraq for the first time and Kuwait. The Next Items that scanned are the Concrete Wall barrier and the replica Hawaiian War club covers my time stationed with the 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii and my next two deployments to Iraq. The next item scanned is the wooden circle plaque which covers my special duty assignment as Platoon Sergeant at the Advanced Individual Training Site at Ft. Sam Houston, San Antonio Texas. The next item scanned is the mounted Bayonet that I received for my time at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital at Fort Leaonard Wood Missouri and the last item scanned Is the wooden plaque with the phrase “It is what It Is” which was my mantra for most of my Military Career and covers my last duty Station at the Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft.
