Hubungan Paritas Dengan Kejadian Ruptur Perineum Pada Ibu Dengan Persalinan Normal Di RSKDIA Pertiwi

Perineal rupture is an injury to the perineum that occurs during the birth process, due to pressure on the head or body parts of the fetus which causes the perineal tissue to tear. One of the predisposing factors for perineal rupture is maternal factors, namely parity, fetal factors, namely newborn weight, and birth factors. Perineal rupture can be caused by parity, due to the lack of perineal elasticity. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between parity and the incidence of perineal rupture in mothers with normal deliveries at RSKDIA Pertiwi Makassar. The research design used is an analytical observational design with a cross sectional study. The population in this study were all mothers who experienced perineal rupture at RSKDIA Pertiwi Makassar with a sample of 96 mothers who gave birth normally. The research results showed that the highest parity that experienced perineal rupture was Multipara, 46 (76.7%). From the results of data analysis using the Chi-Square statistical test, there was a relationship between parity and the incidence of perineal rupture, p=0.048. It is recommended that health workers be more proactive in educating mothers about the factors that can cause perineal rupture
