Caracterización de Fincas Productoras de Kion (Zingiber officinale) en la Microcuenca de Alto Cuyani, Distrito de Pichanaki (Chanchamayo, Junín, Perú)

Este estudio se realizó en la localidad de Alto Cuyani, distrito de Pichanaki (Chanchamayo, Junín, Perú), con el objetivo de caracterizar las fincas productoras de kion. Se trabajó con una organización que cuenta con 450 productores de los cuales se tomó una muestra de 23 productores, usando el “Método de las proporciones”. Se realizó una encuesta estructurada con preguntas relacionadas a aspectos económicos, sociales y ecológicos. Los resultados muestran que el responsable de la finca es generalmente varón, mayor de 30 años con estudios de primaria completa. La finca mayormente es de 4 a 10 ha, pero sólo de 0,75 a 1,5 ha se encuentra sembrada con kion; predomina la producción orgánica, con rendimientos que van de 20 a 35 t.ha-1 y se considera a las plagas y enfermedades como los factores más limitantes del cultivo. El análisis de conglomerados por el Método de Ward con una distancia Euclidiana cuadrada de 1000, reunió las fincas en cinco grupos, estando el grupo más grande conformado por nueve fincas, lo que representa el 39,1% del total.
