It was in the works of Milorad Nikčević that Montenegristics got its real, timely and substantial incentives not only in the South-Slavic area. In recent, crucial times for Montenegro, his Montenegrin, cosmopolitan and authoritative voice returned hope to silenced Montenegro, always going through the same woes. Nikčević positioned his literary-historical and cultural discourse matching his scientific detection to contemporary theory and methodology. His body of work, namely, is structurally networked in such a manner – at both, national and intercultural field – that it is difficult to segment.
