Necklace

View through Europeana Collections
Formed by ovoid red coral beads alternating with hazelnuts of differentiated foot (sequence: two corals, one hazelnut), and ending in red ribbons. Both the stringing thread, made of black cotton, and the aforementioned ribbons are new. Thirteen devotional pendants are symmetrically arranged on it. There is no central pendant as such, although the pot-bellied Christ, placed at one end and without parallel on the opposite side, could well have been placed in this position. Because in remaking this necklace, extraordinary care has been taken to ensure the symmetry of the two sides, which clashes with the absence of the aforementioned central pendant. \From one end to the other the pendants are the following: \Oval of two windows with candelieri and cordoncillo in the profile.
