VASE. Pear shaped with broken through goods consisting of cyclamone-like flowers in light brown and slightly blue delta with brownish middle. Gray-white leaves and greyish brown stems. Decor in colour during the glaze. Effie Hegermann-Lindencrone (1860-1945) was one of the great endowments in the Danish porcelain art. She developed her own style in unique objects. The vase is an exquisite example of her work after the turn of the century, an exquisite sample of porcelain art. With very light rosaviolette underglaze painting and cut out cyclamene flowers, an object is created that is more sculpture than vase. To this contributes the small format (height 13.5 cm). The completely broken wall, after all, prevents any function except the purely decorative one. When holding it in one’s hand, the tank is brought to the most exquisite by Ostasien’s cut jade works. Light and shadow in the cavities are imputed effects. Effie Hegermann-Lindencrone, the Bing & Gröndahl factory became faithful throughout life and worked into the last one with the renewal of the artistic expressions. The factory was founded in 1853 by Fredrik Gröndahl (1819-1856) and the brothers Meyer Herman Bing and Jakob Herman Bing for the manufacture of figures and reliefs in biskviporcelain. In 1853 the movement was expanded to include porcelain production in all forms. Reformed into a limited company in 1895. Among the factory’s artistic leaders in the elderly, Pietro Krohn, J F Willumsen, Hans Tegner and Kai Nielsen were noticed. Price: 175 Kr. See Toilettbok 5 Aug 1914.
