Research on the Development Strategy of Outdoor Sports in Xiangxi Prefecture

This article uses the literature material method, the on-the-spot investigation method, the expert interview method, and the logic analysis method to investigate and analyze the natural human resources and other conditions which are necessarily required in the development of outdoor sports in Xiangxi Prefecture. And on the basis of the qualitative analysis of SWOT, the quantitative analysis method is then adopted to evaluate the AHP, with the aim to put forward the countermeasures and suggestions about promoting the development of Xiangxi outdoor sports, and provide a reference for the future development of Xiangxi outdoor sports. The study shows that Xiangxi has very rich natural resources proper for the development of outdoor sports, but the current outdoor sports market in Xiangxi is still in the development stage, and there are still some deficiencies in many aspects. It is suggested that Xiangxi should learn from the successful experience of domestic and foreign outdoor sports markets in the development process, strengthen infrastructure construction, cultivate professional talents, and strengthen the safety management system for outdoor sports, to consolidate its advantage in brand resources, and thus promote the rapid and healthy development of Xiangxi tourism economy.
