Technology of special ceramics

The textbook is devoted to a systematic presentation of the basics of chemical technology of ceramic and composite materials. A detailed overview of the methods of obtaining ceramic materials is given: from the choice of starting materials and the method of synthesizing their powders to the production of finished products. An assessment of the mechanism, features of powdered materials, and the influence of chemical and technological parameters on their properties is given. Methods of synthesis of special ceramics are presented on the basis of modern scientific research. Special attention is paid to heat treatment processes and process temperature control. The requirements for powders for ceramics and composite materials, sintering and sealing processes to ensure the specified characteristics of ceramics and composites are formulated.
