Representation of ‘War on Terror’, Trauma and Violence in Feryal Ali Gauhar’s No Space for Further Burials

The study utilizes postcolonial theory to analyse Feryal Ali Gauhar’s novel, No Space For Further Burials to explore the psychological and social devastation caused by war leading to trauma, sense of loss and dehumanization of human beings as enemies. The study critiques the senselessness of art and questions the nature of survival in a world scarred by conflict. It also aims at exploring the representation of diverse aspects including identity, hope, and trauma caused by violence. This study will use the critical insights of postcolonial theory to examine the effects of colonialism and imperialism on people. Situated in Afghanistan, the study explores how the sense of belonging is reimagined amidst cultural conflicts. The study explores the ways in which Gauhar’s representational characters articulate the struggle of survival amidst cultural and political conflicts. The study aims to contribute to a better understanding of the consequences of war and its effects on humanity in the middle of the conflicts.
