Maps between Riemann surfaces

View through CrossRef
Abstract This chapter first presents two simple lemmas from complex analysis which serve as the foundation for the chapter. It then examines monodromy and the Riemann Existence Theorem covering the monodromy of covering maps; compactifying algebraic curves; the Riemann surface of a holomorphic function; and quotients.
