"Classical Landscape" Mountainous landscape with tower on a rocky cliff to the left. A figure walks under a bridge on a track leading down to the bottom of the cliff. A small building stands to the right. A pine tree stands on rocks overlooking a body of water in the centre of the composition, on which there is a sailboat. Large trees fill the right hand side of the picture. A woman and girl walk on a path to the right. A cow stands in a field in front of them and a house and more water can be seen through the trees. Mountains and possibly more buildings can be seen in the distance. There is a hazy yellow light behind the tower, otherwise the sky is mostly cloudy. Unsigned. Mounted with NCM 1945-147/(a) The other side of this paper has also been used and there is an unfinished painting of Pembroke Castle and some trees in the foreground.
