Fruit Trees for Private Afforestation Areas
View through CrossRef
Afforestation activities carried out by real and corporate entities by establishing forests where primary and non-wood forest products will be produced are called private afforestation. Such afforestation works can be carried out in degraded forest areas and forest soil (FS) areas, in the lands under the provision and disposal of the State, in the areas under the ownership and disposal of real and corporate persons. In this chapter, special afforestation projects coordinated by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Directorate of Forestry for more than 35 years, the scope of these projects, the place and importance of fruit trees in special afforestation areas, commonly preferred fruit species, problems encountered and solution suggestions are discussed.
