HUBUNGAN KEPEMIMPINAN DENGAN PENERAPAN SASARAN KESELAMATAN PASIEN OLEH PERAWAT DI RUMAH SAKIT AWAL BROS PEKANBARU TAHUN 2017

Leadership is one of the factors that play a role in the successful implementation of patient safety goals. This study aimed to explore the relationshipbetween the leadership role with the implementation of patient safety goals by nurses inthe inpatient unit Awal Bros Hospital Pekanbaru. This study uses a sample; engineering proportional random sampling by the type of cluster random sampling means that sample is not the individual but the sample for the population in groups with a sample of 91 nursing data collection was conducted by survey method using questionnaires and observation to determine the characteristic data of respondents, the role of leader and implementation of the application target safety of patients by nurses, among others; Identifying patients correctly, carry out the implementation of effective communication, high drug monitoring alerts and concentrated liquid (drug safety), marking the location of the surgery, the risk of infection prevention (handhygiene) and the prevention of the risk of patient falls. This penelitiaan Results showed no significant correlation and moderate magnitude between the role of leader in the application of patient safety targetsbynurses(p=0.005)
