ETFs dominados

Neste artigo, avaliamos a presença de Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) dominados na bolsa brasileira. ETFs dominados são fundos altamente correlacionados com outros ETFs, muitas vezes seguem o mesmo índice de referência, porém são menos líquidos e possuem custos administrativos superiores aos de seus similares. De janeiro de 2012 a junho de 2022, constatamos que os ETFs dominados representam, em média, 6,2% do patrimônio líquido, totalizando aproximadamente R$1,7 bilhão sob gestão. Nos últimos três anos da nossa amostra, esses fundos dominados representaram 20,4% do patrimônio líquido total e R$ 5,8 bilhões sob gestão. Apesar de geralmente serem considerados boas opções de investimento, o investidor deve estar atento, pois alguns ETFs são dominados por outros.
