A partire da Vinka. Introduzione al Dossier

La biografia di Vinka Kitarovic riconosce due tematiche di riferimento: la storia dell’emancipazione femminile e dell’impegno delle donne sulla scena pubblica; la storia dei movimenti collettivi transnazionali nell’Europa contemporanea. Il Dossier si apre con una analisi delle modalità in cui l’unificazione europea ha ridotto le differenze fra i paesi membri in una prospettiva di genere, di generazione e di classe. Prosegue facendo il punto, anche in chiave diacronica, sulle questioni relative a violenza di genere e molestie nel mondo del lavoro. E si chiude presentando una serie di percorsi ed esperienze di public history che hanno intersecato i temi al centro del seminario “Donne, lavoro e diritti in Europa”. Vinka Kitarovic’s biography has two main themes: the history of women’s emancipation and women’s engagement on the public stage; and the history of transnational collective movements in contemporary Europe. The Dossier opens with an analysis of the ways in which European unification has reduced the differences between member states from a gender, generational and class perspective. It continues by examining, also from a diachronic perspective, the issues of gender-based violence and harassment in the world of work. And it closes by presenting a series of public history paths and experiences that cross-referenced the topics at the centre of the seminar “Women, Work and Rights in Europe”.
