Global Activity of Ian Donald Ultrasound Education

ABSTRACT Ultrasound examination is completely different from other imaging modalities such as MRI or CT in terms of real-time imaging and interpretation. Examiners are requested to have both interpretation capacity and scanning expertise simultaneously based on physiological and pathological knowledge of maternal fetal medicine. Therefore, ultrasound examination needs appropriate education and training. Ian Donald Inter-University School of Medical Ultrasound is one of successful global educational systems in ultrasound education in Obstetrics and Gynecology. The number of its branches has been growing more than 80 countries. It contains basic courses, fellowship program, distance learning. Undoubtedly, Donald Schools have to reinvent themselves in order to remain attractive to the younger generation, as well as stay success story in globalized medicine.
