Semizoʻt (Portulaca oleracea L.) — semizoʻtdoshlarga mansub bir yillik begona oʻt. Poyasi seret, yotib, baʼzan tik ham oʻsadi,boʻyi 20-50 sm. Barglari mayda, etli silindrsimon, toʻpbarg hosil qiladi. Gullari sariq, oddiy yoki gultojibarglari qatqat. May — noyabrgacha gullaydi, mevalaydi.Gullash maydan sentyabrgacha boshlanadi. Gullar poyaning uchlarida ikkitadan beshgacha bitta yoki toʻda boʻlib paydo boʻladi. Gullar beshta gulbargli toʻq sariq, binafsha yoki oq pushti rangga ega boʻlgan bir danakli yoki kichik boʻlib, odatda faqat issiq va quyoshli kunlarda ertalab tushdan keyin ochiladi.Bir tupi 50—75 minggacha urugʻ beradi. Oʻrta Osiyoda sugʻorma dehqonchilik zonalarida koʻp tarqalgan.Namgarchilik yuqori boʻlganda chirindiga boy yerlardagi ekinzorlarda oʻsadi.
