Members Knowledge of Cooperative Business Enterprise and The Associated Benefits in Ijebu Ode Ogun State

This study aims to assess members knowledge of cooperative business enterprise and the associated benefits in Ijebu Ode Ogun State. Primary data was obtained by means of structured questionnaire to get information from two hundred (200) respondents using a multi-stage sampling technique. The data collected during the research process was analyzed with descriptive statistics using frequency counts, percentages while t-test statistical method was used to analyzed research hypothesis. The findings showed that there is a statistically significant relationship between members knowledge and cooperative business benefits. The study further indicates a significant impact between the socio-cultural factors and knowledge of cooperative, and a significant impacts between technological factors and knowledge of cooperative business enterprise. The study concludes that enhancing member’s knowledge about the benefits of cooperative organizations in Ijebu Ode is essential for their growth and effectiveness. It is therefore recommended that the implementation of regular workshops and training sessions focused on the principles and benefits of cooperatives, as well as trainings addressing cooperatives specific needs, such as financial management and ICT be embraced. This will no doubt enhance the growth and sustainability of cooperative organizations in Ogun State.
