Role and importance of transportation corridor Baku-Tbilisi-Kars

The article investigates the important role of logistics corridor for bigger Baku-Tbilisi-Kars in deepening macro-regional integration, its importance in expanding humanitarian and economic relations between the republics of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia. It also assessed the potential of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars calculated volumes of cargo, as well as passengers turnover the near future. Analyzing the technical and economic parameters and geo-economic efficiencies indicated that this route will be different, as the shortest and most profitable existing path between Turkey and China. The article also examines the difficulties in the implementation of the project of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, there are proposals to address them, is grounded in the socio-economic benefits.
