Response to ‘A spectrum of BAP1 expression from naevus to melanoma in a patient with BAP1 tumour predisposition syndrome’
View through CrossRef
A recent paper described a spectrum of BAP1 expression ranging from naevus to melanoma in a patient with BAP1 tumour predisposition syndrome, who subsequently developed liver metastases and died. We present two similar sporadic cases in which patients with BAP1-inactivated melanocytomas (BIMs) developed visceral metastases. Our patients provide further evidence that not all BIMs run an indolent course.

TRIB1 regulates tumour growth via controlling tumour-associated macrophage phenotypes and is associated with breast cancer survival and treatment response
SummaryMolecular mechanisms that regulate tumour-associated macrophage (TAM) phenotype and function are incompletely understood. Here, we show that the pseudokinase TRIB1 is highly...

Abstract
The initiation and development of malignant tumor is always accompanied by a series of complex gene expression alterations inside the cells. As a tumor suppressor,...

Prediction of BAP1 mutations in uveal melanoma patients from histology images using weakly supervised deep learning-based whole slide image analysis
AbstractWhile cases of uveal melanoma are relatively rare overall, it remains the most common intraocular cancer in adults and has a 10-year fatality rate of approximately 50% in m...
