Color imaging on a rya. Painted with water paint. The colour depiction is painted on cardboard with a number in the upper right corner “A.588.” and a stamp with the text “Uppsala läns Hemslöjingsförening.” The colour depiction shows the following information, “A.588, Upland, Bälinge hd, Bälinge sn, Nord. Mouse. 22691, Rya, interwoven in the bud: Anno 1739.” The colour depiction includes a register card with details of the original Russian. Text on the Register Card A.588. Upland Bälinge hd Bälinge sn Owner: Nord. Mouse 22691 Rya woven into buds: Anno 1739 L. 165, Br 164 cm. Warp of 2- or 3-twisted hemp or flax. 44 threads of 10 cm. Bottom of greyish white untwisted wool yarn. 8 weft threads (5 mm) between each stripe. Two shank, the bottom between apprentice and rip. Nops of 5 or 5 twisted woolen threads, knots cover the whole surface Ryan was woven in one piece. Gift of Borgm. J. A. N.
