The book that we are presenting now integrates a series of three volumes, carefully prepared by researchers and students from Escola Superior da Magistratura do Trabalho da 6ª Região. Labour law, at the present time, invites us to important reflections, especially due to the profound changes resulting from the last labor reform, which brought considerable changes with regard, for example, to the payment of trade union tax, to the intraday break, to the vacation, to the contractual termination, among many other changes worthy of our reflection, especially considering the harmful potential for the protective principles that inform the employment relationship. Technological advancement has presented numerous challenges for the identification of employment relationships, by favoring the emergence of various work relationships, which, under a more accurate look, are more similar to the employment relationship, although, at first, they are not characterized by subordination, and therefore harmfully, not protected by the principle of protection. The present volume, still, did not neglect to analyze the impact of social transformations on the labor market, especially due to gender-related issues.
