On the recto of this fragmentary piece of paper is a dramatic sketch of a lion hunt in a forest setting. At upper right, a hunter and his aide are hidden in the tree tops. The hunter aims his rifle at a pair of lions in the center of the drawing. On the verso of this fragmentary piece of paper is a dramatic sketch of a tiger hunt in a rocky landscape. Eight great cats inhabit the painting; two are attacking the men who are presumably hunting them.
