Abstract
This clinical book on sleep medicine serves as a readable but comprehensive guide for healthcare professionals, whether they are a sleep medicine clinician reminding themselves of detailed aspects of a rare complex sleep disorder or a novice provider who is looking to upgrade their sleep medicine knowledge base. The text explores the physiology of sleep and circadian rhythms, discusses the clinical sleep assessment with appropriate sleep testing, and reviews common sleep disorders such as insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, restless legs syndrome, and circadian rhythm disorders.
