In December 2017, a small salvage excavation was conducted in the
village of Iksal, near Nazareth, prior to construction work ( Permit No.
A-8163; map ref. 230680-90/731885-920; Fig. 1; for background information,
see Mokary 2014). The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel
Antiquities Authority, was directed by O. Zidan (field photography), with
the assistance of Y. Yaakobi (administration), M. Kahan (surveying and
drafting), Z. Turgeman-Yaffe (archaeozoology), H. Tahan-Rosen (pottery
drawing), W. Atrash (scientific guidance) and workers from Kafr Manda.
