"Sometimes both men and women use dance belts of the appearance, which appears from pl. 62: fig. A. The depicted dance belt consists of a coarse fiber cord, which is intended to be tied around the dancer's waist. On this cord are tied a number of strings of about 34 cm in length, on which 30-95 cm. long reed pipes are threaded. These reed sticks have a thickness of 0.5-1 cm. On the waistband are four bundles of small bells of tinplate attached. The bells are reminiscent in shape of ordinary Swedish cow sources, but are considerably smaller than such and lack claps."
