Bridging the Gap: Roma Access to Public Services in Slovakia

Cieľom tejto knihy je poskytnúť pohľad na prístup k verejným službám v živote marginalizovaných Rómov na Slovensku. Verejné služby sú tu chápané v širokom zmysle a zahŕňajú sociálne a zamestnanecké služby, zdravotnú starostlivosť, vzdelávanie, služby ako obchody a reštaurácie a komunálnu infraštruktúru. Výskum pre túto knihu bol realizovaný kombináciou kvalitatívnych a kvantitatívnych metód. Údaje boli zbierané v troch lokalitách na východnom Slovensku prostredníctvom fokusových skupín, individuálnych hĺbkových rozhovorov a dotazníkového prieskumu. Kniha sa tak snaží ponúknuť komplexné pochopenie prekážok, s ktorými sa Rómovia stretávajú pri prístupe k verejným službám v každodennom živote. Údaje analyzované, zhrnuté a prezentované v tejto knihe budú slúžiť ako cenný zdroj informácií pre rozvoj politík založených na údajoch na miestnej, regionálnej a národnej úrovni, čím prispejú k širšiemu úsiliu o posilnenie sociálnej integrácie rómskej populácie na Slovensku.
