Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels (b. 4 September 1685 in Weißenfels; † 16 May 1746 in Leipzig) succeeded his two deceased brothers on the throne on 28 June 1736 as Duke of Saxe-Weissenfels as well as Prince of Saxe-Querfurt. \Since all his descendants died in infancy, he remained the last duke of the Saxe-Weissenfels line and the principality reverted to Electoral Saxony after his death.
