Plaque with vine and dot motif

View through Harvard Museums
Convex decorative bone plaque with vegetal and dot motifs in low relief. Tendrils of grapevines (with grapes) curl up the sides, while stems intertwine in the center, culiminating in buds. Above is a line of dots in a chevron. The back of the plaque is slightly concave according to the natural hollowing of the bone. Two holes are pierced in the center, that would have affixed this plaque to the furnishings (box, furniture, or architecture) that it decorated.
