Tetrakis(trimethylsilyl)distiban / Tetrakis (trimethylsilyl) distibane

View through CrossRef
Abstract Tetrakis(trimethylsilyl)distibane, (Me3Si)4Sb2 is produced by reaction of tris(trimethylsilyl) stibine, (Me3Si)3Sb, with three or less than three equivalents of t-butyl iodide, with trimethyliodosilane, Me3SiI and iodine. The reaction of (Me3Si)3Sb with three or more equivalents of i-butyl iodide and methyl iodide also yields tri-t-butylstibine, trimethylstibine and Me3SiI
