View through CrossRef
The first half of the 17th century brought structural changes to the noble society of Bohemia. The transformation included an arrival of noble families from abroad and ennobling of people from lower social origin. This paper analyses how Bohuslav Balbín, a leading historian and a Jesuit, perceived these changes and what were his personal contacts to the members of this new group.
