Stress, Anxiety, Depression, and Job Satisfaction in Paramedical Staff Working at Basic Health Units Faisalabad

This study aims to measure the relationship between stress, anxiety depression and job satisfaction among paramedical staff working at basic health units. The sample consists N=250 paramedical staff working at basic health units. This study was approved by Board of Studies in the department of Psychology. This study was based on cross sectional design. Research participants were paramedical staff both male(N=250)working at basic health units. Research technique for this research study was purposive sampling technique. Data was collected from paramedical staff working at basic units Faisalabad. Two scales were used for the purpose of collecting data,DASS-21items,this test was developed by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995).This test measures levels of stress, anxiety and depression. Job satisfaction scale was proposed by Paul E Spector (1985).There are 36 items in this scale. This scale measures the job satisfaction levels. These two scales were used for the purpose of data collection. The results represent that there is a significant negative correlation between stress, anxiety depression and job satisfaction among paramedical staff working at basic health units. The finding show that job satisfaction decreases the levels of stress, anxiety and depression among paramedics, while job dissatisfaction increases the levels of stress, anxiety and depression. This research study may offer very important implications for the improvement of psychological health and minimizing the signs and symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression among paramedical staff working at basic health units.This study is an important addition in the existing body of knowledge related to the factors of job satisfaction and psychological health.
